Wind Rose Plots: San Diego, CA

This is a Google Earth photo of where i received my wind data for my wind rose plots. The yellow thumbtack is located at the Lindbergh Airport in sunny San Diego, California.

FROM
The wind rose plot pictured above is the direction the wind is blowing from. One can tell that the majority of the wind comes from the Pacific Ocean to the west of San Diego

TO
The wind rose plot pictured above is the direction the wind is blowing to. The majority of the wind is blowing east or inland across the United States and down into Mexico

FROM: VARIATION

The wind rose plot pictured above is a variation of the first plot labeled: FROM. This plot is less detailed because it only has 4 slices compared to the other plots 36 slices. This makes the 4 slice plot less accurate than the 36 slice plots, for the wind direction is more generalized.
